This (below) is what the water heater cabinet looked like after the leak and before the recent repairs.

When the workers removed the water heater, we could see the water damage on the walls and floor. (below)

The water damage to the back wall appears to extend behind the furnace, too. (below)

When I stuck the camera into the wall, this (below) is what it looked like behind the furnace.

The wall on the left is adjacent to the furnace, while the surface on the right is the shower fixture in the bathroom.

This (below) is what you see if you turn the camera to the right. The left side is the “outside” of the shower fixture, and the wall is adjacent to the counter with the bathroom sink.

In the bathroom (below), the water had seeped under the shower (on the right) and under the wall directly next to the shower. This area was wet when the contractor’s plumber came to fix the water heater leak.

We took off the moulding so the wall would dry faster.
